Mechanical Hasco Limit Switches Offer Increased Process Reliability

In the field of injection moulding, the precise monitoring of the position of moving mould parts makes an important contribution to process reliability. For example, exact information on the final positions of ejector assemblies as well as other moving mould components such as core pullers and stripper plates is of particular importance.

Precise information on the end-position of motion sequences

The new mechanical HASCO limit switches Z1430/… allow a variety of applications for the accurate monitoring of the position of such moving components, both in injection moulding tools and in punching tools.

The limit switches, which can be used at a maximum mould temperature of 140 °C, can be easily adjusted via the HASCO excenter unit Z14300/…. The proven actuation switching range Sa of 0.8 mm can be adjusted via the excenter unit.

Protective circuit prevents malfunctions

The limit switches operate as a normal open contact, whereby an electronic “contact” is closed on pressing the switch. An internal protective circuit protects HASCO limit switches from damage if the supply voltage connections are mixed up, and ensures that no malfunction occurs that would lead to the ignition of an undesired signal. The testing and adjustment of the limit switch is carried out by the battery-operated testing device Z 141/3.

The limit switches are connected via three-pin connecting cables Z14301/… – Z14304/… with straight or 90° angled connector, both to the mould control and, if necessary, to the testing device. The flexible limit switches are available in vertical and horizontal design, which are equipped as desired with a male connector or a female connector for the connecting cable.

Maximum process reliability

With the new mechanical HASCO limit switches, mould damage can be effectively avoided and process reliability significantly improved.
